Calendar Art 2016

Here is our Kandinsky inspired art work for this year's calendar. We used what we have been learning about shape to make some very colourful art!

Olympics day

Today was our HNPS olympic day. We were representing the UK. Here is a photo from our opening ceremony.

Discovery Learning - Static electricity

On Friday we looked a static electricity for Discovery Learning. We charged up balloons by rubbing them on our jumpers then experimented by picking up paper and sticking the balloons to the wall. 

Get down, get low, get out!

We have been learning about Being "Fire Wise" with the New Zealand Fire Service. Here we are practising getting down, getting low and getting out. This will help us survive if there is a smoky fire at home.
